Man arrested following fatal confrontation in Tasmania

A 46-year-old man remains in custody following the suspicious death of a 39-year-old man who sustained serious head injuries in a fight in central Tasmania.

Police say the 46-year-old is being treated for injuries sustained in the fight near Interlaken just before midnight on Saturday.

A vehicle has been seized for forensic examination and police are appealing for the owners of a white four-wheel-drive, a Hummer and a Jeep who are believed to have been in the area at time of the fight.
