Man dies in Tasmanian lake

A teenager has walked for hours to get help after a man died when their dinghy overturned on a Tasmanian lake.

The man in his late 20s died at Tooms Lake near Oatlands in central Tasmania on Friday morning.

Police were called at 1.40pm after the teenager walked several hours to raise the alarm.

The boy was given medical treatment at the scene.
