Man dies in Tas highway crash

Speed and alcohol may have contributed to a highway crash that has claimed a man's life in Tasmania.

The man died after his car collided with another vehicle travelling in the opposite direction on the Murchison Highway, south of Somerset, on Wednesday night.

Police say speed and alcohol appear to have contributed to the crash, which also injured several other people who were in the other vehicle.
