Man charged over Tas shooting

Police have charged a Launceston man they say shot another man in the back with a small calibre rifle.

The shooting happened on April 8 in suburban Mayfield and on Thursday detectives charged the 27-year-old with committing an unlawful act intending to cause bodily harm to his 40-year-old victim in an incident which allegedly stemmed from a feud.

"Police are continuing to build their case for prosecution," Sergeant Joe Riley said.
