Tasmania's police force is boosting its numbers and the latest recruits come well credentialled having previously worn a uniform interstate.
Police Minister Rene Hidding on Wednesday said the Liberal government is on track to deliver an extra 113 police officers during its four-year term and made a special mention of five new faces.
The four men and one woman between them boast a work history including the Australian Federal Police, and forces in NSW, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, and Queensland.
