Inquest into Tas death linked to ex-DPP

A Tasmanian coroner will hold an inquest into the death of a woman killed in a car crash involving the state's former director of public prosecutions.

Natalia Pearn, 27, died in a March 2013 highway smash when her car was struck head-on by a vehicle driven by then DPP Tim Ellis, who subsequently received a suspended jail sentence and lost his job.

The coronial inquest is listed for next Tuesday before state coroner Olivia McTaggart.
