Tas man dies in car crash near Dover

A man has died after the car in which he was travelling crashed in Tasmania's south.

The 51-year-old man was killed at about 3pm on Sunday when the Ford Fairlane sedan in which he was a passenger veered off a right-hand bend on the Huon Highway south of Dover.

No other vehicles were involved.

A 50-year-old man was treated at the scene and later charged with dangerous driving causing death. He was taken into custody to appear at Hobart Magistrates Court on Monday.
