Man stabbed during suspected road rage incident in Melbourne's west

A man has been stabbed in the stomach during a suspected road rage altercation in Melbourne's west yesterday.

Police believe the victim was driving along Sayers Road in Tarneit about 12.15pm, when an unknown vehicle cut him off.

The victim, driving a Grey Nissan Altima, along with the unknown driver, both pulled over to the side of the road.

Both drivers exited their cars before the unknown driver stabbed the victim in the stomach.

Police believe the unknown man was driving a blue sedan.

The 30-year-old victim, from Hoppers Crossing, managed to drive himself to a nearby medical facility.

He was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators are keen to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident, along with anyone who might have dash cam footage.
