Take two on axing carbon tax compensation

The government will again try to axe carbon tax compensation for new welfare recipients despite previously failing to get parliament's support.
Social Services Minister Christian Porter will reintroduce legislation on Wednesday to cut the energy supplement measure, saving taxpayers $933 million.
"Not a single person who is presently receiving any form of welfare benefit loses a cent," he told ABC radio.
