Experienced Sydney water-skier died after fall during Riverina race

A well-known Sydney water-skier has died during an annual race in the Riverina region today.
Kevin Vahtrik, 51, was competing in Moama when he fell, and was pulled unconscious from the water.

Paramedics and police responded to the scene about 2.40pm and conducted CPR, but he died at the scene.
Police have appealed for anyone with footage of the incident to come forward.
