Man assaults woman on morning train

Security vision has been released of a man who indecently assaulted a woman on a train in Sydney’s south-west.

Police say the 21-year-old victim boarded the Central Station-bound train at Lakemba Station about 5am on June 30.

Soon after, an unknown man boarded the train and sat opposite the woman before indecently assaulting her.

The offender is described as being Asian in appearance, aged in his mid-30s and has a slim build.

At the time of the assault he was wearing a black beanie, dark-coloured pants and a black jacket.

Investigations are ongoing.
