Teenage boy arrested after fire spreads through row of terrace homes in Sydney's inner west
A teenager has been arrested after a fire erupted at a terrace in Sydney's inner west, spreading to a number of adjoining homes and forcing several families to evacuate.
Fire crews were first called about 1am to the home on Darley Street In Newtown, arriving to find the home well alight.
The fire quickly spread to adjoining houses forcing 15 people to self-evacuate.

It took crews nearly seven hours to fully extinguish the blaze with 15 people forced to self-evacuate. 9News
It took nearly seven hours for crews to fully extinguish the intense blaze however no one was injured.
The fire caused significant damage to four houses on the street.
The initial building has been damaged by smoke and heat and 50 per cent of the building is severely damaged.
Following inquiries, a 13-year-old boy was arrested at Lilyfield at 3.30pm. He has been taken to Newtown Police Station where he remains in custody.
Inquiries continue.
