Sydney teen arrested for alleged laser attack on passenger plane
NSW Police arrested a teenager last night for allegedly shining a laser beam at a commercial passenger plane trying to land at Sydney Airport.
The 16-year-old in Sydney's south was allegedly using a green laser beam from the backyard of his home in Bexley.
His arrest comes less than one week after NSW Police declared they were cracking down on laser beam attacks on aircraft in Sydney's skies, which had spiked recently.

PolAir, the NSW Police helicopter, was called to investigate the alleged incident but the chopper's crew was also allegedly targeted by a laser, with one officer on board affected.
Police took the teenager to Kogarah Police Station.
He has been released after being dealt with under the Young Offenders Act.
