Sydney producer Flume slams lockout laws during ARIA's speech

Flume has used his ARIA award acceptance speech to protest against Sydney’s lockout laws.

The Sydney producer, who is fast becoming of Australia's most awarded musicians, used the platform to urge the NSW Government to scrap the contentious laws.

“I want to give a big thank you to the venues, especially the small venues….because that’s what’s getting shut down,” Flume said during his acceptance speech for Best Dance Release.

“To our policy makers and politicians, please keep Sydney open.”

The artist cut his teeth performing in small bars and clubs around the city before becoming an international success.
