Major Sydney road reopened after three-vehicle crash leaves man trapped

A man has been freed by emergency workers after being trapped in his car following a three-vehicle crash that caused major traffic delays in Sydney's north.

The crash on the Pacific Highway at Warrawee about 5.30pm closed all northbound lanes, and two of the three southbound lanes.

Two of the northbound lanes and all the southbound lanes have since been reopened.

One car had rolled onto its roof, with a 54-year-old man trapped inside his car following the crash.

He was conscious and breathing as NSW Fire and Rescue worked to free him from the vehicle.

No other injuries were reported.

Drivers were advised to avoid the area and use Ryde Road instead.

People in the area have been advised to allow extra time for travel.
