A second man has been charged over the shooting murder of a man in Sydney's inner west earlier this year.

Parramatta Melita Eagles, footballer John Odisho, 24, died after allegedly being shot in the head at a unit on East Street, Five Dock, in the early hours of Tuesday 2 April.

Another man, also aged 24, suffered gunshot wounds to his shoulder.

Both men were taken to hospital shortly just before 4am after being treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics.

At around 4.15am, a third man, aged 28, arrived at Auburn Hospital suffering a gunshot wound to his stomach. He was later charged with murder.

Strike Force Wesson detectives arrested a 27-year-old man at a home in Guildford about 6am today.

He was charged with murder, shoot at with intent to murder, and special aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence.

Police will allege that the man was involved in planning and supplying a gun used in the murder.

He was refused bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court today.
