Warnings issued after ‘sex pest’ spotted exposing himself to female runners at Sydney lagoon

Warnings have been issued to runners and residents on Sydney’s northern beaches amid concerns of a potential sex pest who was seen exposing himself on a local running track.

Two female runners alerted NSW Police last Friday afternoon to a man they claim to have seen exposing himself next to the Narrabeen Lagoon.

It is alleged the man called out to one of the women and scared her as she ran past.

It is believed the man didn’t touch or assault either of the women, however police have now issued an appeal for public assistance to locate him to prevent possibly future incident from occurring.

The man has been described as aged in his 30s and looking scruffy. He was also riding a BMX bicycle at the time of the incident.

The encounter has been enough for two local running clubs to also issue warnings to its members, urging them to take extra caution while in the area of the Lagoon, and to not go running alone.
