The baby was just 19-months-old when she was admitted to Sydney Children's Hospital, at 4.9 kilograms, half the weight she should have been,

She is now two and a half and still a size zero, the carer said.

The girl's father has now turned on her mother, who was vegan and can’t be identified, claiming she was the boss and he just followed her orders.

However, the Judge interjected and said he was a mature man who could have picked up his daughter and driven her to hospital at any time.

The mother has asked for leniency on the basis she had post-natal depression, a claim the Crown disputed.

The toddler's parents have pleaded guilty to failing to provide for her causing danger of serious injury.

They'll be sentenced in June.
