Sydney man reveals six-figure luxury he's buying after winning $30m

A Sydney man will live out his childhood dream of owning a Lamborghini after winning $30 million.

The man, from Camden in Sydney's south-west, said he checked his ticket "every 10 minutes" after finding out he'd won the entire division one share of last night's Powerball draw.

"We found out at 9pm last night, and then we were paranoid," he said today.

"We showed people and asked, 'Is this a win?'"

Elated with the "fantastic life" that lay before him, the man said he would be sharing his good fortune with family.

"Trust me – this couldn't have gone to a better family. This is going to set so many people up," he said.

But there's one treat he had in mind for himself.

"I'd love to get a Lamborghini. That's my dream car. I've wanted that car since I was a kid," he said.

The winning numbers in Powerball draw 1404 on Thursday 13 April 2023 were 27, 33, 19, 29, 5, 12 and 15.

The Powerball number was 4.
