Sydney man in jail over 'lighter threat'
A man is accused of threatening to set a woman alight during a domestic incident in western Sydney.
The pair were arguing at a Willmot home on Friday afternoon when the man, 33, allegedly threw a substance at the woman and threatened her with a cigarette lighter.
The 32-year-old woman called police and the man was arrested.
She and her six-year-old daughter were unhurt, police say.
The man was taken to Mount Druitt police station and charged with maliciously throwing an explosive substance with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
While in custody, he allegedly became aggressive, grazing a female senior constable's neck.
Officers laid an additional charge of assaulting police.
He was refused bail on Saturday and is set to appear in Campbelltown Local Court on Wednesday.
