Sydney man charged a year after shooting
A man has been charged with shooting another man outside a fast food shop in western Sydney 18 months ago.
The 23-year-old man was arrested after he was pulled over by police at Granville on Thursday.
He was charged over the shooting of a man outside a kebab shop at Smithfield on July 25, 2012.
He was due to face Parramatta Local Court on Friday on a number of charges, including discharging a firearm with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, damaging property by fire and stealing a car.
His alleged victim, a 43-year-old man, was assaulted and shot in the leg.
The driver of the car that was pulled over by police - a 32-year-old woman - was also arrested at the scene and charged with driving while disqualified and breach of bond.
