Police hunting runaway driver who stabbed man in Sydney road rage attack

Police are still hunting for a man who stabbed another driver on Sydney’s M7 motorway yesterday, in the city’s west, during a violent road rage altercation.

The 42-year-old male victim was slashed in the abdomen by the man in Rooty Hill, before trying to then drive himself to hospital about 4.15pm.

The man managed to reach Bungarribee Road in nearby Doonside before he called emergency services.

He was then transported to Westmead Hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.

He has undergone surgery and it's understood he is in a stable condition.

Police are now looking for the man who attacked him, after he fled the scene in an orange Toyota Corolla.

The offender was last seen travelling south on the M7 in an orange Toyota Corolla following the attack.
