Sydney home invaded twice in two hours

Two men have invaded a Sydney house twice in two hours, breaking into a room where a frightened woman was hiding.

The men knocked on the woman's Fairfield door on Saturday afternoon asking to speak to another resident who wasn't home. As she tried to close the door, they forced their way in and yelled before leaving, police said.

They returned about two hours later, breaking down the front door.

The woman had locked herself in a room, but the men bashed down the door, confronted her and stole sunglasses, cameras and other items before fleeing.

The woman wasn't hurt.

Police are searching for the men, who appeared to be Pacific Islander or Maori.

One man is described as 180cm tall, unshaven, with a solid build and short dark hair and the other as about about 160cm tall, with a medium build and a dark complexion.
