An unusual photograph of a seal in Sydney Harbour seemingly greeting a passing police horse has bemused social media users.
The NSW Police Force shared the image of the seal waving its flippers at one of their troop horses on Facebook today.

“One of our Troop Horses making friends with some local Sydney wildlife,” the caption read.
The post has since attracted more than 2000 reactions.
The interaction happened during a patrol along the city’s Botanic Garden.
The well-timed photograph also shows off the iconic Harbour Bridge and Opera House.
