Sydney girl fighting for her life in hospital after being pulled from Bali pool

A three-year-old Sydney is fighting for her life in a Perth hospital after she was pulled unconscious from a swimming pool in Bali. 

Kawa Sweeney was on holiday with her parents, Dee Tang and Desmond Sweeney, when she was found unconscious in a swimming pool on Sunday.

Ms Tang’s sister, Christine Walsh, told 9NEWS she had received a call from Mr Sweeney telling her Kawa was “in a coma”.

“She had basically drowned…when they pulled her out of the pool, she was unconscious,” Mrs Walsh said.

“There happened to be a surgeon nearby, and he and another doctor did CPR on her for 45 minutes, and her heart re-started.”

Ms Tang runs the popular Kawaiian Lion homewares store on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

The three-year-old underwent tests at Princess Margaret Hospital yesterday after landing back in Australia on Monday night with her father and paramedics by her side. 

The couples' friend Pearl Tan posted a call for help on the business’s Instagram account soon after the incident to fund the medivac flight. 

“Kawa was in a drowning accident and is currently in a coma. They need $42,000 to medivac her back to Perth,” the post read.

More than $70,000 was raised in under 24 hours after Ms Tan created a page on a crowdfunding site.

“Thanks for the speedy support everyone. You are all incredible,” Ms Tan wrote.

She also shared an image of the three-year-old who is in a stable condition, but remains unconscious.

Family and friends have flown over from Sydney to be by the young girl's bedside.
