Sydney driving instructor charged with sexually touching student during lesson
A driving instructor has been charged after allegedly sexually touching a woman during a driving lesson in Sydney’s south-west.
NSW Police allege 59-year-old Ian Hodgetts picked up the woman from her home in Wetherill Park about 8am on Saturday, before allegedly inappropriately touching her on several occasions during a driving lesson.
It is believed the instructor then returned the woman to her home, and she reported the alleged incident to police on Tuesday.

Authorities attended a home on Crabb Place in Cabramatta at 9.15am yesterday and arrested the man.
He has been charged with two counts of sexually touching another person without consent and inciting another person to do sexual acts without consent.

The man has been granted conditional bail and is expected to appear at Fairfield Local Court on August 7.
The instructor’s wife today told 9News the man had not told her about his arrest, and that he needed hospital treatment for kidney stones.
