Sydney driver charged over alleged road rage stabbing

A man has been charged following an alleged attack on a fellow motorist in Sydney’s east yesterday.

The 58-year-old man allegedly stabbed a 24-year-old man in the thigh and hand with a knife during the roadside altercation on King Street, Mascot, about 5.35pm.

Police believe the alleged attacker then returned to his silver Mazda and fled the scene, but later turned himself in to police.

He has since been arrested and charged with wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. He has been refused bail and is expected to appear in Parramatta Local Court later today.

The injured man was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in a stable condition.
