Woman rushed to hospital with serious head injuries after Sydney bus crash; part of Anzac Parade closed

Five people have been injured in a bus crash in Kensington in Sydney.

Two buses collided on Anzac Parade near High Street this afternoon, bringing peak-hour traffic to a standstill.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated five people at the scene including a 25-year-old woman for serious head injuries.

The female passenger was taken to St Vincent's Hospital in a serious condition.

A male bus driver was also treated at the scene for minor leg injuries before transferred to Prince of Wales Hospital.

The front windscreen of one of the vehicles is completely shattered and crumpled.

There are dozens of emergency services on the scene and part of the road is closed.

Buses are diverting away from Anzac Parade through local streets, skipping up to 15 stops.

Some buses are delayed up to an hour.
