Sydney beaches smashed by huge surf
Beaches along Sydney's coast are being smashed by a huge swell brought on by the wild weather battering much of NSW.
In the eastern suburbs, the usually calm waters at Nielsen Park are turbulent and frothy, and the ocean pool at Bronte has been swallowed by the sea.
Bondi is also taking a beating with waves crashing into the lap pool at Icebergs.

On the Northern Beaches, Collaroy has been covered in sea foam since yesterday and high tide reached the sea wall, which is still under construction.
A hazardous surf warning from the Bureau of Meteorology remains in place for essentially the entirety of the NSW coast from the Queensland border right down to Victoria.
The warning is current for Byron Coast, Coffs Coast, Macquarie Coast, Hunter Coast, Sydney Coast, Illawarra Coast, Batemans Coast and Eden Coast.
