All runways back in operation at Sydney Airport after wild winds forced two shut
All runways are back in operation at Sydney Airport today after wind winds forced the closure of two earlier today, leaving just one running.
A marine wind warning still remains in place across large parts of the state's east, including the Macquarie, Hunter, Sydney, Illawarra, Batemans and Eden Coasts.
The Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) said the wild conditions are expected to remain in place for the duration of the day and into tomorrow.

"As a precuation" Sydney Airport shut two runways this morning, leaving only one to manage all air traffic in and out of the city.
"Airservices Australia has now enacted single runway operations at Sydney Airport due to gusty, westerly crosswinds," a spokesperson said earlier.
"This adheres to International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) safety regulations for runway usage in crosswinds.

"This decision is purely weather and safety-related to safeguard the travelling public. Safety is Airservices' No.1 remit."
Customers travelling through the airport are advised to check with their chosen airlines to see if their flight times have been delayed or disrupted.
Airservices Australia is a Federal Government-owned organisation responsible for the safe and efficient management of 11 per cent of the world's airspace.
