One in custody after man found dead in house fire near NSW-Victoria border

A man has been found dead in a suspicious house fire in north-west Victoria.

A second man is in custody as police investigate.

Firefighters rushed to Domaille Crescent in Swan Hill, on the border with NSW between Echuca-Moama and Mildura, about 5.40pm yesterday.

They put the fire out, searched the property and found the man's body.

Police said they were treating the fire as suspicious and had taken a man believed to have been at the property at the time into custody.
