A woman has been charged with ramming several cars, including a police patrol vehicle in Sydney before threatening officers with gardening secateurs.

It’s alleged the female driver accelerated as she drove around a carpark in Sutherland yesterday afternoon, crashing into several parked cars.

Commuters started to film the incident while police were called.

She allegedly pushed one car several metres while its driver was sitting inside.

When police tried to follow her, she rammed backwards into the patrol car, damaging it.

Police smashed the woman’s driver window after parking her in, and attempted to open her door.

It was then that the woman allegedly waved a pair of secateurs around until the officer tried to take hold of them, suffering a cut to his finger in the process.

The 38-year-old was arrested and hit with several charges, and bailed to appear in Sutherland Local Court today.

The injured police officer was treated in hospital and released soon after.
