Man arrested over suspicious death near Oatlands

The death of a man in Tasmania is being treated as suspicious.

Detectives remain at the scene near Oatlands, where the 39-year-old man died, and they've arrested a 46-year-old man who's being questioned.

It's believed the two men knew each other, Detective Inspector Craig Joel said.

Police are asking anyone who saw a muddied, gold Nissan Patrol 4WD, with registration FC9012, driving in the Midlands or Central Highlands yesterday or last night to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
