Suspended learner driver allegedly clocks 200km/h on Melbourne highway
A suspended learner driver allegedly clocked speeds of up to 200km/h while driving down a Melbourne highway early this morning.
Police Airwing officers detected the blue Subaru WRX sedan allegedly speeding along the Melton Highway citybound about 1.30am.
The 18-year-old driver, from Melton South, failed to stop when officers attempted to intercept him.

The Airwing directed police to an Exford Road address and arrested the man.
"Police identified the man as a suspended learner driver," Leading Senior Constable Natalie Dean said.
The man's car has been impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1006 and he has been charged with conduct endangering life and numerous traffic offences.
He has been bailed to appear in court in December.
