Man charged with murder after massive Perth manhunt

A man has been charged with murder following a massive manhunt in Perth's southern suburbs on Wednesday night.
Police charged the 42-year-old man with the murder of Angela Rose Mackinnon and attempted murder of her son Jesse Henwood.
Ms Mackinnon was found stabbed to death at her home in Gidgegannup on March 10, while Mr Henwood, 19, is recovering in hospital from knife wounds to his head, chest and arms.
The wanted man was discovered on Eileen Street in Mundijong at around 7pm on Wednesday night, about 77km from the scene of the crime.
Witnesses say the man regularly stayed at the Mundijong property where he was found.
Neighbour Carolyn Sheridan says police had been at property throughout the day - before his eventual arrest.
"(He) just seemed like a nice guy – I was just chatting to him, nothing out of the ordinary, keeps to himself," Ms Sheridan told 9NEWS.
The wanted man was admitted to Royal Perth Hospital last night – 9NEWS understands he has an injured hand and a gash to his forearm, and remains under police guard.
He has been refused bail and a bedside hearing will be conducted on Friday.
