Surfers Paradise swimmer pulled from water, treated by paramedics

A swimmer at Surfers Paradise has been pulled from the ocean just before lunch and rushed to hospital.
Queensland Ambulance Service told 9News an adult male was helped from the water off Clifford Street and Northcliffe Terrace at 11.30am.

After the rescue, the man was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a "serious but stable" condition.
A critical care paramedic was in the ambulance with the patient.
