Sunshine Coast body-in-barrel siege ends

A siege on the Sunshine Coast involving a man wanted for questioning following the discovery of a teenage girl's body in a barrel has ended with his surrender.

Zlatko Sikorsky, 34, had been wanted since Wednesday over the disappearance of 16-year-old Brisbane girl Larissa Beilby.

His connection to the Alexandra Headland apartment complex remains unclear, but the surrounding area was in lockdown since 3.25pm on Friday.
