Stumbling thief struggles to stand during robbery
A young woman robbing a Melbourne convenience store has struggled to stay on her feet after squeezing behind the counter and trying to access the till.
The teen, aged between 16 and 18-years-old, entered the store on Swanston Street around 8am on January 13 before demanding cash from the store attendant, police said.
After making threats towards the employee, police said the woman squeezed behind the counter and tried and access the till.
But security vision then shows the woman slip behind the counter before she eventually regains her feet.
Authorities said after unsuccessfully trying to access the till, she takes the attendant’s mobile phone and flees.
Police have released the vision in the hopes of tracking down the woman.
