Woman charged with murder over brawl in Perth suburb that led to teen dying

A 20-year-old woman has been charged with murder over a brawl between school students in Perth that escalated to leave one dead and several injured.

The brawl spread across three locations in the West Australian capital yesterday.

At one point, a car allegedly deliberately ploughed into four teenage students.

One boy was killed.

The other three students all sustained injuries, with one understood to have broken both legs.

The woman has been charged with the murder of a 17-year-old male and with four counts of attempted unlawfully to kill.

In an earlier phase of the brawl, two students had been stabbed. They are currently recovering in hospital.

A new video of the incident obtained by 9NEWS, appears to have been shot on a witness's mobile phone.

It shows one smaller student in a white shirt apparently pursued and half-circled by a group of others, in an open grass park area.

As the student attempts to dart backwards and trips up, an attacker leaps in to kick down at them.

Other students in the footage can also be seen filming the incident.

Police are investigating the possibility that the brawl was an organised schoolyard fight.

"There's a number of incidents involving people fighting which culminated in a fairly serious incident at a fast food outlet on Ranford Road and then another serious incident that occurred here behind me in Eucalyptus Boulevard in Canning Vale," Inspector Tony Hill said

"At this stage we believed that they are linked, some of the parties are involved in a number of the incidents."
