Job starters will soon be able to complete tax and superannuation paperwork online while businesses will save time reporting their contributions to the tax office.
Assistant Treasurer Kelly O'Dwyer says business reporting of Pay As You Go withholdings and superannuation contributions will be simplified with the information automatically sent to the Australian Taxation Office as the government rolls out Single Touch Payroll reporting.
Job starters will also have the option of completing tax file number declarations and superannuation standard choice forms online, she said on Monday.
