Steer on the loose in Sydney after escaping from prestigious college
A bull that escaped from the grounds of a prestigious Sydney school is thought to be on the loose in the suburbs days later.
A one-year-old black steer broke through one of the stock-proof fences at from Saint Ignatius' College Riverview on Tuesday night and was last seen in Lane Cove.
The steer "recently arrived" at the college as part of its agriculture program.

"The College has concerns regarding the welfare and safety of the animal as well as concerns for any potential injury that may be caused to any member of the local community which may be incurred due to the steer roaming in a highly urbanised area," Riverview said in a statement.
"The College welcomes support from the local community in providing any information regarding the animal's location so that we may safely collect and return him to the Riverview Farm."
A NSW Police spokeswoman confirmed to nine.com.au it had received a report about the missing animal, but finding it falls to the council and the RSPCA.
RSPCA NSW has been contacted for comment.
