Man stabbed in leg in Burwood also suffered head injuries

A man is in a serious condition after being stabbed in Sydney's Inner west,

At 2pm, emergency services were called to Selborne Street in Burwood, where a man in his thirties was found with a stab wound to his leg and head injuries.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Burwood Police Area Command established a crime scene and are investigating.

The offender fled the scene, say police, and no arrests have yet been made.
