Man fighting for life after being stabbed and shot in St Kilda

A man has been shot in the leg and stabbed in the buttock in St Kilda, with Melbourne police yet to find the person responsible.
The Airport West man was found wounded on the side of Spenser Street yesterday morning and local residents called an ambulance.
The 25-year-old victim, who may have been further assaulted after the shooting, is recovering in hospital.

He has been placed in an induced coma and is said to be in a stable condition.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
No one has been arrested over the shooting, police said today.
