Brawl breaks out between two families at popular playground

A long weekend visit to a popular playground in Adelaide ended violently for two families after a fight broke out.

At dusk on Easter Sunday in the middle of St Kilda Adventure Playground, two adults started to yell and swear at each other.

The altercation, which was filmed by an onlooker, escalated with the parents seemingly starting to threaten each other.

"What? What? Get up man. I want to talk to you… Get off my daughter," one angry parent can be heard yelling.

One person is dragged across the ground, while another fist fight breaks out nearby, which a bystander tries to break up.

"F--- you ... Let's go mate. Get off. Hey. What's going on?" another person yelled.

South Australian police were called to the playground about 7.30pm, however one of the families had already left.

Today the iconic park was filled with happy families enjoying the long weekend, with some shocked to hear what had unfolded the evening before.

"I don't know what instigated it, weather, the heat, alcohol, who knows," one grandmother, Glenis, said.

"Glad we chose today to come, not yesterday, it's horrible," mum Samantha said.

An investigation is under way but no arrests have been made and no charges have been laid. No one was seriously injured or needed medical attention.

Police have asked anyone with information to come forward.
