School drop-off inspires road rage

A woman has attacked a man after he purportedly didn’t allow her space to merge outside a school near Ipswich.

Video obtained by 9NEWS, that appears to have been filmed outside St Peter’s Lutheran College in Springfield, shows a woman jump from her car in the middle of the street and attack another driver.

The woman allegedly punched the man before launching her handbag at the windscreen of the four wheel drive and driving away.

A witness told 9NEWS the woman also threw a water bottle at the car, after the driver did not allow her to merge.

The school said it had been advised by police that no parents or members of the school community were involved.
