Spectacular Maroons try extends Blues’ pain

Queensland took a little over a minute after half time to continue the misery for NSW in tonight’s Origin decider.

As a Cooper Cronk grubber appeared to be heading for the dead-ball line, Maroons veteran Justin Hodges miraculously kept the ball in play.

Matt Gillett was on hand to ground the ball and extend his side’s lead to a staggering 24 points just minutes after half time.
