Southeast Queensland hit with severe weather and power outages

Thousands are without power as severe storms smash Brisbane and Ipswich, with damaging winds and hail expected later this evening.
The Bureau of Meteorology said very dangerous storm cells are moving over Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

"Oakey and Wellcamp weather stations recorded gust of 100km per hour and 70km per hour at Toowoomba so far," senior forecaster Adam Woods said.
That system is pushing east towards the CBD where storms are forecast to become stronger.
Energex said more than 19,000 in southeast Queensland are currently without power.
