South Burnett hospital faces closure

The operators of the only private hospital in Queensland's South Burnett region say it's facing an uncertain future.

Pulse Health says the South Burnett Private Hospital, which services the region with the Kingaroy public hospital, has been operating at a loss for some time.

"The company ... will be meeting with staff, doctors and other stakeholders within the next two weeks for discussions," chief executive officer Phillipa Blakey said.
