Adelaide Fringe Festival organisers urge people to feel confident about attending
After a slow initial uptake in tickets, organisers of the Adelaide Fringe Festival are urging people to be confident about attending.
"This is the time of year when South Australians really enjoy the best of what their city has," organiser Daniel Michael said.
It's hoped that this year's festival will help draw thousands of people back into Adelaide after the Omicron wave left the city's streets empty.

Organisers say the festival will be completely COVID-safe.
"I just really want the audience to feel confidence that we have planned a really COVID safe Fringe," director Heather Croall said.
Most festival venues will operate at 75 per cent capacity when masks are worn, and proof of vaccination will also be required.

Musician Prinnie Stevens said she was looking forward to returning to the stage and hoped South Australians would rally around performers.
"We're here, we need the help, without the audiences we, as performers, are nothing, so together I think we can do this," she said.
