Police arrest man over alleged hit-and-run that left SA motorcyclist in critical condition
Police have arrested a man over an alleged hit-and-run near South Australia's Barossa Valley that left a motorcyclist in a critical condition.
Police said the 40-year-old motorcyclist was hit by the ute, which was towing a trailer, on the Thiele Highway on the outskirts of Kapunda just before 6pm on Sunday.
He was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a critical condition.

Witnesses claimed the driver of the ute stopped, disconnected the trailer and then drove off.
Senior Constable Kimberley Broad told FiveAA radio the driver was arrested last night, two days after the crash.
"At about 6.30 last night, police arrested that man - the alleged driver - without incident in the northern suburbs," Broad said.
"He's a 28-year-old man from Waikerie."

Police say they have also seized the Holden ute allegedly involved in the crash from a home in Brahma Lodge.
The Waikerie man was charged with causing harm by dangerous driving, leaving the accident scene after causing harm and driving without a licence.
He has been refused bail and appeared in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court today.
